The material on the album is a recording of the concert that took place as part of the jubilee tour "30 Years Of Darkness Tour" on August 4, 2019 in Sao Paulo (Brazil). The set list includes both compositions from older albums, dating back to 1988, and from the last album "Patriarchs Of Evil", which was released in 2018; the iconic 1993 album "His Majesty At The Swamp" was ripped in full.
The cover artist is Juanjo Castellano. Achilleas Kalantzis mixed and mastered the album in Suncord Audiolab.
VARATHRON was founded in 1988 and is considered one of the precursors of the Hellenistic black metal faction, next to groups such as Rotting Christ and Necromantia. Its co-founder, vocalist and currently the only original member is Stefan Necroabyssious. Since the release of the album "Crowsreign" (2004), the band regularly releases new albums. The aforementioned album presented a new line-up of the formation - Stefan was joined by Haris (drums) and Achilleas C. (guitars), and soon after Sotiris (guitars) and Stratos (bass). The team functions in this combination to this day.
