DERANGED are veterans of the genre from southern Sweden. The band was formed in 1991, and its origins were inspired by flagship bands of the early nineties such as Carcass, Napalm Death, Imetigo and Suffocation. These inspirations are reflected in the music of the Swedes - it is fiery and brutal death metal in an old edition. Their music differs in style from other Swedish bands that started their adventure in a similar period (such as Grave, Entombed or Dismember). It's faster, technical, and has influences from genres such as deathgrind and groove.
"Deeds Of Ruthless Violence" is DERANGED's tenth album (successor to 2016's "Struck by a Murderous Siege") and the first album with new vocalist, Johan Bergström (Visceral Bleeding). It was recorded at Berno Studio (Amon Amarth, The Crown, Witchery) in Malmö. The album cover, kept in a similar convention as the cover of the previous album, is due to Mika Hrubovcak (Grave, Six Feet Under, Sinister).
